I have to admit that when I first started this little experiment I was expecting it to be easy to find 52 things that I couldn’t live without. After only seven weeks it’s become very clear to me that while I do love to surround myself with beautiful things I’m not really that vested in most of the things filling my house. We take the objects around us on a daily basis for granted and rarely take the time to sit and appreciate them. This little journey has made me take the time to take a good look at my surroundings and really figure out what makes my home my own. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely have items that I would be really sad if I had to give them up but it’s made me realize that I don’t need a bigger house or more space. I think I’d be much happier with fewer things that are special and important to me than a bunch of things that I purchased just to fill and empty space. What in your home makes you the happiest?
Tina,
I knew there was a reason I love your blog! It seems to me we have such similar taste. I too, have a Jaime Joseph ring. Ok I have two… they are somewhat addictive. Love yours, and can see why it would be one of your favorite things! I wear mine most every day.

Hi Shana,
I wish I had two of them! Every time I see one of her rings I instantly want it. I can’t wear mine everyday since I work in a gym and I’m worried about scratching it but I do put it on whenever I go out! Hopefully I’ll have a few more things you like before I hit number 52!
What a sweet story about your son. And it really is a beautiful ring. You’re really making me think with your question. My husband makes photo books after our travels, so having the memories with him captured in the books make me happy. And of course having the right tools in the kitchen that help me make food that nourishes from the inside out makes me happy. 😉
