A room with a view

This is my sanctuary, a place that I can escape all the pressures and irritants of my everyday life and revel in the simple pleasures of tending the soil.  I take immense pleasure in sinking my hands into the earth, planting a seed and watching it grow into something beautiful and with purpose.

Right now the garden is in full swing and it seems like just when I get into the habit of spending my days wandering its nooks and crannies it all comes to an end.  We only have a few weeks left before the weather starts to change and the garden will go into hibernation for the winter.  I feel a little giddy walking it’s aisles, inspecting the jewels that only a late summer garden can offer.  The peppers and eggplants are still producing and the late summer plantings of beets and radishes are starting to swell under the ground preparing for the first frost of fall.

I wanted to share my favorite space with you all, I hope you enjoy the visit.
